CSTOOL.io is a cloud native open source project. The source code is available in its entirety on GitHub.

The service you are currently using is a privately operated website operating on secure cloud services at redundant locations within the European Union. The static content (images, text and program code running in your web browser) is transmitted to you from a world-wide content delivery network (CDN) to ensure the best possible performance. All online services are privately maintained by Alexander Koderman who can be contacted at aKoderman@CSTOOL.io.

If you have questions or concerns regarding the use of your personal data please feel free to send an email. You may also use any of the other contact options listed on the main page. The following legal notice serves to be as transparent as possible on how your data is being used by this site. It is also supposed to avoid misunderstandings with lawyers and the costly resolution of warning letters.

Ads and Financing

CSTOOL.io is privately operated. Thanks to our sponsors, we do not have to run ads to finance the cost of providing and maintaining the site. We would very much like to keep it that way. CSTOOL.io uses a number of different cloud services: Google Kubernetes Engine, MongoDB Atlas, Azure Cognitive Services, AWS S3, SES and Cloudfront. All of these cost money. Privacy Policy for CSTOOL.io

CSTOOL.io legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described in this Privacy Policy depends on the Personal Information we collect and the specific context in which we collect the information:

  • CSTOOL.io registers your ip address to tailor and deliver content to you
  • When you register for a service we may collect your name and email address amongst other data
  • You may link another social media account to CSTOOL.io, such as Google or Github accounts

CSTOOL.io will retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies. Log Files

CSTOOL.io follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

Cookies and Web Beacons

Like any other website, CSTOOL.io uses 'cookies'. These cookies are used to store information including visitors' preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users' experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors' browser type and/or other information. We do not use 3rd party cookies for ad tracking or marketing purposes. We will set cookies to remember your program selections and configuration between visits. You may also choose to create an account to permanently store information on our site and to enable email notifications to be sent to you on certain events. In this case, cookies will be used to facilitate a secure log-on using the OIDC standard. We are using 'auth0.com', an external authentication provider, to enable a secure log-on. You may only create an account if you agree to their privacy policy.

Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity.

If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.

Online Privacy Policy

Our Privacy Policy applies only to our online activities and is valid for visitors to our website with regards to the information that they shared and/or collect in CSTOOL.io. This policy is not applicable to any information collected offline or via channels other than this website.

We are using software services for computing and storage that are available over the Internet as so called cloud services for processing your requests and for storing your search queries, preferences and account information. To this effect personal data may be stored and processed on the servers of one or multiple cloud providers.

We also use Amazon CloudFront. This is a web service that allows static and dynamic web content such as HTML, CSS, .js and image files to be delivered to users faster. CloudFront delivers the content through a worldwide network of data centers called edge sites. When content is requested from CloudFront, it is routed to the least latency (delay) Edge site, so that the content is delivered with the best possible performance. To do this, your IP address is sent to AWS Amazon Web Services, Inc. (410 Terry Avenue North, Seattle WA 98109, United States). AWS participates in the EU-US Privacy Shield program.
